Enter a New Discipline Incident into the D-TRAK® Database

Via the Tables menu on the D-TRAK® main screen, you'll customize all the data that will be selectable on your incident entry screens. Once you completed those setups, you'll simply point and click to enter the details of any discipline incident. Here's how:

Open the Student Search

Selecting a Student

  1. In addition to currently enrolled students, you may include in your student search the names of students who have withdrawn from school. To select that feature, you'd click on the box labeled Show Withdrawn Students. A check mark would be inserted into the box.
  2. You'll enter the first few letters of a student's last name in the Student Name text box.
  3. An alphabetical list of students will appear below your entry, beginning with names that share the same beginning letters that you entered or letters that would follow your entry. The list will continue to adjust with each succeeding letter that you type. As soon as you see the name of the student who is the subject of the new discipline incident, click on that name to select the student.
  4. The selected student's name and identification number will then be displayed on the right half of the screen, along with the Proceed button, as shown above.

We've selected a fictitious student, John Doe, as the subject of this New Incident entry. To view the next screen where information on the offense is entered, click on the Proceed button now. (Return to the TOP of the screen.)
