Specify Individual Students
Students may be selected individually or they may be selected en masse by demographic categories. For the purpose of demonstrating this item, we selected one fictitious student, John Doe. (We cancelled this selection before finalizing our query though, because we wanted to use the broad demographic categories instead of specific students for our overall demonstration.)
To select your students individually, you'd follow these steps:
Name is the default search method, but you could search by student ID Number, if you preferred. (You'd click on the Number button.)
You'd enter the first few characters of a student's identifier (Name or Number). The larger box on the left of the screen would produce a listing of students whose names or numbers begin with or follow the characters that you entered. The list would continue to adjust to any additional characters that you entered until it matched the identifier at the top of the list to your entry. However, as soon as you saw the identifier of the student you sought, you could click on it. The selected name/number would then appear in the Students Selected box on the right of the screen. You'd repeat this procedure as many times as necessary to select the specific students you wanted to include in your search.
If you accidentally selected a student you did not intend to pick, or if you changed your mind about including a selected student, you could simply click on a name in the Students Selected box on the right to remove the name.
Click on the screen's Done button to return to the previous screen. (Go to top.)
