Checking a Student In/Out for Daily Attendance
Select a Reason and Post the Activity

The Reason field will be displayed in the middle of the screen. You would click on the arrow at the right of the field to drop down a list of available reasons (which are set up under the File Maintenance/Reason Codes menu of the X-ONETM Administration program.) For our example, John Doe checks in late because he was "Sick."
When you select a Reason, the list will be closed, your selection will be placed in the Reason field, and the balance of the Daily Check in / Check out Summary Status will be displayed.
The Date, Time, and Status of the Check In/Out will be listed, along with a notation regarding any previous attendance activity recorded for that student on the same date. In our example, "This is the first In/Out Activity for this student on this date." If we were recording an early check out for John later on the same day, the notation would read: "Additional In/Out Activity for this student on this date include(s): 01:06 I U" (shorthand for In/Unexcused at 1:06).
A tally of the Number of (like) Occurrences since the starting tally date (which is set in the X-ONETM Administration program and is usually the first date of the current school year or semester) is displayed at the bottom of the screen. If the number displayed is 3, for example, the tally means that twice before the current activity the student has been marked for the same attendance designation that you are currently marking, such as In/Not Excused.
If your school records individual student schedules in its database, clicking on the Schedule icon (at the top of the screen, to the left of the Exit button) will display the student's schedule for the attendance date you've selected.
Click on the Schedule icon button on the screen above to see a student-schedule display. (Return to the top of the screen.)
Clicking on the Telephone icon to the left of the Schedule icon will display parent/guardian contact information.
Click on the Telephone icon to see the contact information screen that would pop up. (Return to the top of the screen.)
When you are satisfied that the information listed on this Check Students In/Out screen is correct, you can click the Post/Pass button, which will post the data into the database and print a student pass, or the Post/No Pass button, which will only post the data. (Of course, if you made a mistake, you'd simply click on the Do NOT Post button and confirm that you want to exit without posting the attendance information you entered. You'd be returned to the student record locator screen where you could begin again.)
Checking a student in or out with X-ONETM is that simple!
Click on the Post/No Pass button on the screen above to return to the X-ONETM main screen. (Return to the top of the screen.)
